Men Empowerment Project

Men Empowerment project went through the first two phases between 2005  and 2009 concentrating mostly on perceptions and attitude change processes, building of networks and community structures. The third phase (2010 to 2012) is majorly concentrating on reinforcing the gains that had been attained through integrating social and economic aspects of the communities and exploring the expansion of the concept to reach a wider area.

Various community capacity building activities such as CBOs’ trainings on Men Empowerment concept, training of clergy on gender issues. family life orientation, community role modeling, gender based violence, governance micro-enterprise, agri-business and development of community run group revolving funds. For the young people there has been capacity building in advocacy and talent development.

So far a lot has been attained as the productivity of more men have increased and family harmony has been realized in many cases.
