In a bid to strengthen the economic status of the communities, STIPA through the Community Based Health Financing and Life and Living Projects introduced micro-credit in the
target areas which include Songhor, Kamrongo, Maseno, Kadawa and GAWU Schemes with plans to roll-out to Miranga Scheme respectively in the near future.
The current micro-credit initiatives are meant to empower communities to explore new entrepreneurship opportunities in their areas and, strengthen the existing initiatives and mechanisms that facilitate the process of economic empowerment and independence without relying on handouts from relief agencies and political icons.
